This is correct. PRK is technically disqualifying, so your physical will read "NPQ" and state the reason as "history of PRK" or something along those lines. The doc will also attach a statement indicating that a waiver has been requested. Once the waiver has been granted, you will get a memo stating such that you can attach to your medical records.

Yep, the physical is about the only thing keeping me from going to OCS. My problem is I need to get a release from my shrink, and then I have to be out of treatment for at least 6 months. But, thats just what I heard from a Marine recruiter. I went into the medical area at MEPS and asked if I could take anything to my doctor to check me off so that my doctor and I would know if I pass or fail. They just laughed at me and said it don't work out that way. I guess I'm just gonna have to cross my fingers and hope all my pieces work just fine. Best of luck to you all with your physicals.
