Marine option NROTC

How is applying for for Marine option NROTC different from regular NROTC. Do you apply for NROTC scholoships through the school your going to or through an OSO.

i jsut pretty much read the answers to my questions... Although it brings me a new one. What is the progression to become naval officer or Marine officer.
example: NROTC then x,y,z im wondering what x,y and z are. I hope im not being to confusing...

For the Navy, it's just NROTC. There are summer cruises involved with NROTC, but after college graduation, you are commissioned. I think Marine Corps option goes to OCS after NROTC.
