I have seen in the movies (officer and a gentleman) and heard on this forum that Marine SNCOs train Navy officer candidates but not enlisted Navy people. I would assume that would be because there aren't enough Drill Instructors to train so many Navy enlisted; and that these are the same Drill instructors that train recruits and Marine officer candidates? Also, does the Navy send their petty officers to a "drill Instructor" school like the Marine Corps?
