Just to quickly add to this..My first contact with an OR was when I was about 21 years old. I had been premed for quite sometime in school, had a horrendous GPA and decided I wanted to pursue my passion of becoming a Naval Officer/Naval Aviator (not my parents' passion of me becoming a doctor). I got my act together, graduated with a GPA of 2.52 in mathematics. Furthered myself and started my masters in computer science. 4 years later, Pro Rec Y.
