Liner fuzz

BlackBearHockey

go blue...
Stupid topic, I'm sure, and I searched...

Long story short, every time I wear my all-weather coat with khakis the fuzz from the coat basically takes a poop and my uniform gets covered in black fuzz. I've tried washing the liner but to no avail, does anyone know how to make it go away?

I was going to bust him on that, but he is in ROTC, so you have to roll w/ what you got. Personally, I'd wear the black, "new" jacket before I'd wear the raincoat, but then again, I never had to wear a uniform in either Maine or Phili.

I never used the liner. Even in Philly... but I've only worn it once there. Usually was the overcoat.. that thing was a b*tch and a half.

Indeed, it's the "It's 4 degrees out and this is the warmest thing I can wear" jacket. Would it be worth getting a peacoat? Are they generally warmer?

Thanks for listening to my crappy topic

I loved my reefer in college (definately warmer than the rain coat w/ liner). As far as whether or not it's worth it, that's kind of your call (I was required to have it). I don't know how often you have to wear a uniform or how long it stays cold in Orono. If you do go aviation, I think it's a safe bet you won't wear it much (if ever) once you get your leather and green jackets.

At least you had the real ones... the ones they issued '09 and '10 are a Raincoat/Overcoat... as in: cheaper and not as warm.

BlackBear: Do a search...there was talk about being able to buy full-length officer's peacoats very cheaply from Marines graduating from USNA.
