Ok, here's one, I know I can't sell back my days. One of my buds told me there's a way to give your leave days to another person. I have 93 days on the books and my class graduates on 30 Sept. There is no way I can possibly take leave between now and then. So rather than eat anything over 60, I'd like to find a way to put it to use. Any PNs out there?

Never ever heard about "giving" them away and you can only sell when you get back and that isnt a good deal either (take it all as terminal leave and keep your allownaces) The only way to keep them is to be deployed at the end of the fiscal year and ina position where you cant use them because of that not the "I cant go on leave or the little wolrd I am responsible for will collapse and the XO will skin me alive" that usually deters most people. Good luck with that though

what about "I can't go on leave and haven't been able to for the least 4 months due to the program I'm in?". Yeah yeah, I know...this sucks...

that does suck. Last year I lost 13 days even though I was deployed during that time, semper admin. But was able to get it back by going on 30 days leave and having the command only charge me for 17. Maybe your next command might eb able to hook you up that way. But all that per diem will probably soften the sting

Zab, since you weren't deployed, looks like you are going to lose that leave. I looked through the MILPERSMAN on leave (below links), and didn't see any outs for you to get around. I just took a 30 day block to drop my leave down for October, so I know what you are talking about.... The only leave transfer I know of is for the govt civilians, they can transfer leave to others.

1. Earned Leave Limits

a. Earned leave may exceed 60 days during a fiscal year, but shall be reduced to 60 days as of the first day of the new fiscal year.

b. Leave not to exceed 90 days may be accumulated as defined in MILPERSMAN 1050-070. Leave so accumulated in excess of 60 days shall be lost unless it is used before the end of the third fiscal year after the fiscal year in which the service in that area is terminated.

c. Leave accumulated in excess of the above stipulated limitations, and not used, is irrevocably lost and may not be compensated for in cash. As this policy is based on public law, no waiver authority exists.
