I thought this already happened, but whatever. Maybe it is the only thing fast enough to catch pirates... oh wait that was the F-22.

Still, I have no idea what it means to feel like a submarine, and I'm pretty sure Corvette is a class-descriptor not a sexy-ness indicator.

Do blogs and stream of counciousness count as news now or something?

Technically it is a corvette (being smaller than a frigate but bigger than a patrol boat). Guess someone decided it'd be bad to have headlines that said "Navy asks for $5 billion for Corvettes".

But, yeah, this article is pretty time-late. Freedom is not only afloat, it's christened, commissioned, and on sea trials since November. But what do you want, it's just a blog.
