My internal photoshop alarm is going off . . . or at least its video equivalent . . .
 
I don't know, that could be the real thing. It looks like the guy put an Allison from a 206 or MD-500 in there, jugding by the two exhaust cans. I guess it could be a PT-6 also. The gauges looked similar too, but it's hard to tell. I would think it would be pretty easy to do, as long as you had a decent reduction gear that can fit in there. Cool vid, either way.
 
I think I read somewhere that a major automaker experimented with a gas turbine-powered car once upon a time, but gave up due to spool-up issues and horrible mileage. So I suppose it's possible. The sound just seemed not to quite match the video, but maybe it's just me.

If I recall, Chrysler built a turbine powered car in the early '60s. I saw it on Modern Marvels.
 
Hey they're are Turbine powered Motorcycles this isnt much of a stretch to pull off. Just somebody saying "Hey Frank Im bored with my millions of dollars and I want a Jet Car!" and then it begins. Hardest thing I can think of would be 1. Heat buildup inside the engine compartment, and 2. Building a Tranny for it which wouldnt be that difficult just require alot of fabrication and cash.
 
I Googled it and evidently the car was sold without the engine in Iowa last winter and there was another reference to it in another site.
