I guess it would be if it was light enough to be worn on your back. Of course there are powered hang gliders out there but i've never seen a rigid, powered wing that is worn as a backpack. Maybe i'm not as worldly as I though I was.

Id be a lot more worried about its CG limits and stall charactaristics.


That thing looks more of a death trap than the wright flyer, looks like a pretty unstable take off, might whack a tree. Imagine if you tripped on take-off...

I flew an ultralight back in highschool and couldn't stall it worth a damn, it would just drop the nose and keep moving (slowly).

CG was a problem because of the BRS parachute sitting behind me, lesser of the two evils, and it really limited what could go in the passenger seat.

Pretty much what I was thinking with this thing. I know there are some really pro ultralite people out there that love it for the experiance of not flying in a big metal box but this looks more like something a person would build and fly with little to no training/experiance and just enough understanding to get themselves or other people hurt.
