I was wondering when you complete OCS..and say you get jets how does the navy determine whether you will fly, say the f-18 hornet or the f-18 superhornet. Or do you get to choose once again.

You could always go ANG, if your selected they tell you on the spot wether you'll be an F-16 or KC-10 pilot. Probably the toughest pilot slot there is to get. Training + 2 years of full time duty then you fly on the weekends.
