My crew chief got to talk to Jessica Simpson (and ogle her for an hour). Bastard went up net.. I did get a nice view of her ass as she walked out (we stayed turning on deck to bring her back to the CV when she was done)

We had NFL cheerleaders come out on two separate occasions while I was in Djibouti. The funniest thing about it all was to watch the reactions from the females on base. You'd have thought someone peed in their Cheerios.

One one of our (female) Navs who was miffed by it was over heard saying "No one looks good in green spandex" (in reference to the Miami Dolphins cheerleaders who were all over base) to which one of her male counterparts replied "Neither does anyone in a desert flightsuit."

I suspect I know part of the reason they reacted that way. I got to leave the ship during an extended 100+ days at sea in the Indian Ocean with no portcalls in early 80s for a week. I had to lay overnight in Diego awaiting a C-141 airlift. Our Det OinC pointed out phenomena at play on the Island in which the few females present really became popular (no surprise there) giving rise to the "DGAR" rating system in which a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10 was really a 4 back home. At first, you need a six pack to make up the missing points, but the longer you are there, the less beer it takes 9according to his logic).

Soo, if a similar phenomena was at play in your situation, I'd venture the local females wouldn't want any distraction fromt he attention they had grown accustomed to while OCONUS.

+1 for him for witty retort. maybe she was in charge when they came aboard Nimitz and extracted her revenge vvvv

Word must have gotten back to them because they dropped the green spandex....definitely looks better than a desert or traditional green flightsuit for sure!

I beg to differ...although spandex would be nice, the flightsuit can't hide "natural talent".
