Are they free for the taking? I assume they need a little TLC to get presentable again.

If your definition of "free" is broad enough to include theft from a government vessel ?. Just tell the in port OOD that it has a light that won't light on one side and you're taking it back to your workshop to fix it there and you'll bring it right back. Are they free for the taking? Perfect in an aircraft hangar. Mine is used often. While they are very unique and very Naval Aviation I cant imagine having one and actually using it very much. If I had a ready room chair and a nice lazyboy in my home I'm willing to bet I'd use the lazy boy a lot more. They're only good to sit in when there's no other alternative (ie the boat. Which has surprisingly few chairs and even fewer comfortable ones).
