IPBC Schedule

BlueDacnis

IP Officer - Graduated OCS 20JUL18
Does anyone know what dates the IPBC classes commence for FY 18 and possibly the beginning of FY 19?

I was selected for IP back in December and I’ll be going to OCS in April. I was just curious how that will match up with IPBC and whether or not I’ll be doing OHARP. I know I’m getting ahead of myself, but I’m definitely taking OCS seriously and am making getting through that my top priority. I just thought I would reach out and see if anyone has an idea. I’ve searched everywhere, even found some articles from 2017 that had 2017 dates, but I’m not sure how the holidays may have shifted things for 2018.

Also if anyone has any insight as to what the new 20 week IPBC is like, I’d love to hear. Thanks.

Class schedules below. The course "is what it is:" standard Navy baseline training with the course material dumbed down to accommodate the lowest common denominator student. They make us Reserve IP's attend the course as well.

I would not sweat it in the least and would stay 200% focused on OCS and doing your best while at OCS.

Thank you so much for this! I could not find this anywhere.

I’m very glad to hear that IPBC won’t be too difficult. I’m sure it’ll be challenging but it’s nice to know it won’t be ridiculous. I’ve been a tad worried about it, given that I am an English major and the nature of IP sounds very STEM-steeped. But yes, I’m definitely worried about the horse and not the cart at the moment haha. OCS is the top priority. Thank you again!

The Navy makes IP "STEM-steeped" for marketing and competitive selection purposes. They do the same for Intel.
