I thought this was like super powers, such as can control fire, or create magnetic fields.

Block 28 of the OPNAV 1420/1 (Enlisted officer application) asks for “Special Abilities”... I wish I had those skills, especially the nunchuku skills, I probably would have put them down :icon_lol:.

That did it!

Okay …Yep, looks great. You’ll fit in just fine with the ‘PC’ crowd.:)

I really wasn’t going to say anything. However, I gleaned from your first post that if I were actually trying to get something done you’d be the last person I’d come to for some help. I’d probably be swamped in superfluous paperwork and forms. Older guys know what I mean, younger guys… well, if you don’t know, you’ll learn. (Sadly.)

What in the world, has happened to the Navy? Let’s hope this guy continues to lurk.

Well, thanks for giving back.

I’m a shit hot PS with 7 years active duty experience,

Sorry, but this made me laugh out loud. And I can do that, because I am a shit-hot lieutenant pilot of the sky. If you don't believe how shit hot I am, just ask me. I'll tell you all about it.

I work at a MEPS, and I just completed a an IA (CONUS) working with ECRC for a year back in August, so I know Navy pay and personnel admin, MEPS processing procedures, and the IA process (I was a LNO at Ft Lewis and Ft. Dix). I hope I can help by contributing in these areas.

You can help with the dreaded CONUS IA!?!?!? Reminds me of the guy who made fun of the B-52 pilot who declared an emergency because he had an engine out (Shooting the dreaded 7 engine approach.)

You could have put "Great self evaluator" in the Special Skills line.

EVALs: I have received nothing but EPs the 7 years I’ve been in the Navy w/recommendations for officer programs.

Honest question: If you don't have a single eval that is not an EP in 7 years of service how are you only an E-5? Could you not pass the tests? Did you get busted at some point? The E-5's from my shop who got EP's and passed the tests got promoted.

7 years after I enlisted, I was just finishing primary. FWIW. Everyone has their own measuring stick for "shit hotness" though. :icon_smil

Special Abilities:
Officer Manager/Administrative Services (4,000 hours) -

I think that counting office work in hours is a special ability in and of itself. You should add that to the list.

In all honesty and all kidding aside, it sounds like you have a good package. I hope you get picked up. Thanks for the post and the opportunity to have some fun at your expense. If you have been here a year, you knew to expect it.
