Makes me feel less bad about shoving IFR charts in the overhead windows when the AC is doing its best to put out moderately lukewarm air.

That's the back side of a removable sun shade. Also, all cockpit mission materials in the Deuce are made so they can be manipulated with the space suit gloves on, as well as seen through that face shield.
