Internet/Phone Providers in Corpus?

We're moving to Corpus at the end of the week. I've already set up our electricity and satellite tv. Now I'm looking for the best local telephone, DSL/cable internet, and cell phone services. Can anyone suggest some reliable providers that aren't a rip-off?

Also, which cellular companies have good reception? We have Cingular right now, with a TDMA phone, and it sucks. How is T-Mobile & Nextel?

Thanks!

I had/still do verizon. Always been 100% happy with coverage all over the country (and I was in corpus for 10 mos). That being said, NO cell will work in or around the wing building, that is the only plae on base anyone really had trouble.

That and my house on base that was painted with Lead-based paint, for some reason I walked outside and had an awesome reception.

I had Road-Runner for Cable and Verizon for wireless.

Road runner cable (time warner) has a deal for the first 6 months of cable modem internet for $29.95.

Assuming you are in Pensacola now, where Cingular service does suck, it's much much better in Corpus. I've had service here for almost two years with no problems.

I have dial-up right now (everyone's internet), but am moving next week and getting Roadrunner in the new place. I also have T-mobile and get great service all the time. My friend has Cingular and she never gets service down here, so don't get that! haha.

Unfortunately, Road Runner is unavailable in my area. The only service I'm finding is SBC Yahoo DSL. Anyone ever used them before?

I would reccomend grande as well, their customer service is better than TW and they don't have as many outages.

I'm sorry, but we're gonna have to ask that all of those from FSU to kindly exit the room please.
