It doesnt sound like the writer of the article feels that the osprey is worth a damn. However, it would be interesting to hear the other side of the story. As well as seeing if the osprey can actually meets its established criteria.

Not quite sure what to think about the V-22 myself, but here's the other side of the story, from a former army CWO:

It seems to me that the point about the cost and carrying capacity of the V-22 compared to a helicopter like the MH-60 or EH-101 makes a strong argument against the osprey regardless of the whole vortex ring state debate, though. There's a lengthy thread about this over on the military.com USMC aviation board.

As for this g2mil guy, there's some other interesting stuff on his page. I enjoyed the description of family support services at Los Angeles AFB as "communist activities."
