Infantry selection

Have you started yet? Ask your SPC, or other SPC’s/instructors who are infantry. On day one, my SPC asked for a show of hands for who wanted infantry. About half the platoon (of 50-60) raised their hands. He said “we’ll see”. The day before selection he asked the same question and something like 6-8 guys raised their hands. They all got infantry, and no one else.
 
I am still in Mike Company right now. I am looking to pick up Monday.
Was it the field exercises that made people look for other opportunities?

Pretty much. You’ll get plenty of time outside in the beautiful Northern Virginia winter to decide
