Deserves its own thread. They have always been the duo most likely to nuke each other, even at peak Cold War.

I predict they go all the way this time, fully consummating their nuke relationship. Both have become countries of religion-driven decision making.

Thoughts?

This is the perfect time for Trump to put his money where his mouth is and negotiate a peace treaty between these two nuclear powers before it becomes something neither of them can back down from.

This is a good thread and timely. Am I right understanding that air-air engagements are happening at scale?
This was from defensenews, but unconfirmed.

More than 125 Indian and Pakistani fighter jets reportedly engaged in a dogfight lasting more than an hour in the early hours of Wednesday, according to an unnamed Pakistani security source cited by CNN.

If confirmed, it would mark one of the largest aerial battles since World War II.

The alleged operation, referred to as “Operation Sindhoor,” is said to have taken place entirely within the airspace of both countries. CNN reports that long-range missiles were exchanged from distances exceeding 100 miles, with neither side breaching the other's airspace.

I dunno. Sounds a lot like the initial claims in Ukraine, which turned out to just be DCS screenshots. Call me skeptical. Maybe some of you all are privy to reliable intel. which I won't ask about, but forgive my ignorance in that case pls

The Pakistanis have confirmed the battle.
It is obviously a “modern” dogfight with more long range shooting and less Battle of Britain kind of stuff. The Washington Post confirms at least one Indian Rafale fighter shot down by surface-to-air and the article I posted notes the first use of the Chinese PL-15 missile. I imagine there is a lot to be learned here.
