So I'm in IFS at Destin and I soloed today!!! The winds were really squirrely, so we flew up to Defuniak. I got to do 3 takeoffs and landings

Congrats! Sounds like a bad a$$ time. Can't wait to hop out of these Cessna's and fly something with real horse power.

Good to go, i remember when i soloed on IFS on the piper tomahawk, it was an experience since my instructor didnt' tell me i was gonna solo till he got out the plane and said take it up for three touch and goes. still i'm waiting for my chance in the T-34C that will come up in maybe a month or so.

Fly Navy, Congratulations. Your on your way, man! I remember the first time I soloed, I had a Citation behind me and I tryed despiratly to keep him there. The 172 I was in got a workout that day. My instructor wanted me to do a bunch of touch on goes with this darn citation mucking up the waters. Anyway, I survived and I know how good you feel. Good Job
