Isn't the 1000/250 a Navy rule based on FAA standards? I've seen several AF units with standing FAA waivers for lower flybys.
I'm sure your skipper will be happy to define it for you after the fact.
Going to piggy-back this forum. I attend FSU and we had an F-18 fly-by for the Miami game in 2009. It was done by the same squadron the Scott Speicher was in (first casualty of Persian Gulf in 1991, Marine F-18 pilot). Were any of you guys part of that fly-by by chance? (I know this was a year and a half ago but I figure I'd take a shot at it).
Best flyover I ever saw was a Navy A-4 my freshman year at A&M. .....
