Yeah, I had to laugh at the safety stand down today. I mean come on, evacuations? The thing has to go through the penisula first. Anyway, I'll be in Biloxi watching Van Halen and losing money at the blackjack tables.

You had to know we were all required to be there so they could eventually ask for our money. And I wish they would give it a rest with the youth soccer league. But thanks for mentioning Biloxi. I've been meaning to get over there and what a great time to do it.

yup i could set my watch to the rain here...at least in Corpus it was "i'll whoop your butt rain" here its "rain for the hell of it type of rain" Some HT-18 guy thought the hurricane was here the other night.

Yeah well, we moved the helos to the Saufley hangars today just in case, and there is talk of actually evacuating and flying them up to someplace like Chicago for the weekend. We'll find out tomorrow morning. I know they are just trying to ruin my 4 day weekend. :icon_rage

although this is a crazy thing to say, i actually wanted to see hurricane frances tear the hell out of US's wang, but i guess it has died down from a 5 to a cat. 3 hurricane after reaching the bahamas. i'm interested in how many ppl are going to be in trouble this time, and how the media will lie about the body count of deaths. i'm pretty sure it's impossible that only 15-60 ppl died in the last hurricane when the whole florida is just a retirement home.
