What we REALLY need is a hurricane off the east coast that has effects up to virginia. Last summer's hurricane really gave us some nice mild weather for PLC second inc. Could go for some of that again!

Or one to scare people in Pensacola <again?> so that housing prices will drop and I can get a better deal....

Ivan raised a lot of people's property value by up to 20%. Of course, that's for property that survived mostly unscathed.

That's bad stuff, but in Southern California, July through September is earthquake season.
Earthquakes have seasons? Interesting. Didn't know the shifting of the plates can tell what month it is, hahaha!

"Ahh, ahh! Wait guys its only June 30th. Got to wait a day before we can level the city."

I prefer tornadoes, personally. They only take out a few city blocks, while quakes and hurricanes take out the whole freaking city . . .:icon_tong

Oh absolutely!! My boss's house was completely flooded by a wave but not completely leveled. He is going to rebuild a house that he paid $220,000.00 for 15 years ago that is now worth over a $1,000,000.00 not rebuilt! He also bought his neighbor's house for $750,000.00 because they didn't want to rebuild. He only has to put about $150,000.00 into that one to bring it back but he was just offered $1,400,000.00 for it not touched so he took it. The funny part about this is these are small but nice one to two level houses that aren't overly large. You know 3 bedrooms, 2-3 bathrooms. They are typical family sized homes where I live that would cost about $250,000.00 to $350,000.00 dollars! Granted, atleast my bosses house, it has granite countertops and everything is state of the art and up-to-date, that's just him, he's like that, it's one of 3 houses he owns so yeah he has made some good investments. But please! a million dollars for a 3 bedroom ranch? My gosh!

Hurricanes and Earthquakes

Good job of sniffing out the BS....Mefesto and Hoorah.

Earthquake Season..:) .... Tourists actually believed that in San Diego... :D

Up here in near Bawlmore, Merlin, we don't get many earthquakes. Our last big hurricane, Isabel, brought a lot of wind and rain, leading to lots of trees down.

But, it's that big quake on the west caost...you know "The Big One" I really fear.

Yep...my dad's house went up in value. Amazing what happens when your house becomes a commodity.
