Seem to be mostly owner operated with the occasional realestate agent sign in the yard who gets a percentage if they find a tenant......most of the owners try to find tenants themselves to avoid paying the agent

Mine is run exactly as PCola says ... they pay an agent to get it rented, but after that you never talk to the agent again, only deal with the owner. The owner of this place was great, but is in the process of selling the place so we're not sure if the new owner will be as cool or not. My wife met the new guy and said he seemed ok. We'll be gone before it affects us anyway.
Seems like most 3br on Cruiser go for around the same price.
Best way to find a place here is to drive around and call the numbers on the signs.
We've really enjoyed living on the island and would certainly recommend it to anyone.

For me Corpus was the first(other than a couple of months in P-cola) time I had gotten out of the "apartment hell" of college. I loved living in the townhouse on the Island. Split with two other ENS's it was a decent price and well worth it. Now i'm back in Apartment hell and feel like a second class citizen again. Dont get me wrong apartments are cool and all, you can just get burned out on them (especially if there are no hot chicks running around your place....like college
).

Sugar Tree is pretty good. That's where I am. It's about a block away from Baypoint, costs a few hundred less, and is a better designed community. The management is MUCH nicer too. I have an 890 sq ft 2 story unit that I'm getting for only $690, cable included. They have several smaller, cheaper units as well. Only problem is age. The place is about 20 years old or so, and most of the appliances and such have not been updated since. However, it has clearly been well maintained, so if you can handle dealing with a dishwasher that's nearly as old as you are, it's a pretty good bargain.
