R44 likely was easier to procure/lease. Also piston engine is at least half the fuel consumption over a turbine. This is all very much in "beta" - with small class size and low up front investment. The results will be interesting. Can you say "Minimal Viable Product" ???

Beards aren't just for rotary pilots. Someone took beard oil to the 3710...the note about O2 masks has been softened to the point where you can have facial hair as long as you can get a seal. Many of our CIV & CTR are sporting beards.

Facial hair and good seal on a mask? Can't be done. One may be able to "fake" a qualitative fit test, but could never pass a quantitative fit test.

Looking at AF ENJPT class pics, lots of beards on our Euro student pilot T-38 brethren.
