Todd Hornbuckle, who used to post here as HornyU2, was in a plane crash and is in the hospital with burns over 50% of his body.
He was flying a Cherokee when the engine quit. After the crash, he shielded his young daughter from the flames with his body, carried her out and away from the plane, and only then jumped into some water to put out the flames on himself.
He is a USNR CDR and CO of a T-45 SAU. He was on militray leave from Delta for an active duty stint but unfortunately they took him off active duty days before the crash for the end of the fiscal year and he was supposed to go back on active duty a couple of days later. Because he was between active duty assignments and on military leave, it is unsure if he has health insurance coverage.
