Holster for Sig

GALCO ... as always, either half-harness or the Miami Classic. A great place to start for most uses and the possibilities for add-on holsters and magazine carriers are virtually limitless. I have several holsters built around and compatible with their basic shoulder rig.

There's others ... but I've always had good experiences with GALCO.

Second that. I'm carrying my Kimber Warrior right now in their "inside-out" inside-the-waistband holster. Good quality stuff, very competitive prices (especially compared to some of the "boutique/custom" leather companies), and durable, too.

Any recomendations on a new shoulder holster for my 226?

I'm sitting here right now wearing my Galco Miami, and it is extremely comfortable. The issue ones the rest of the guys got don't appear to be terribly comfortable; I see people trying to adjust them a lot. Under body armor, over body armor - the Miami is the bee's knees. Not cheap, but like a lot of things in life you get what you pay for.

I had a sig 239 that I carried in a galco holster and loved it. They are def. worth the money. My boss was head of firearms training for the NSA and thats all he ever carried his weapon in. Good choice with the sig and the same for galco....i never should have sold mine.

A4s,

Do they have CCW in Hawaii? I know it is on the books as "may issue" but I thought it was on the order of "dad must be the governor" to be approved.

You have it right. Guns are readily available for miscreants on the black market in the Territory ... it's just that you and I can't legally carry, Magnum P.I. notwithstanding .... :)

The politicians have made it really tough to live and breathe if you possess firearms in the Territory (i.e., 50th state) and next to impossible to carry legally for the law abiding citizen. I think a lot of it is driven by the influence of the large Japanese/Nisei/Isei population, their associated local politicians, and a multi-generational anti-gun influence that has emigrated from Japan. Ironically, a lot of hypocracy is front & center as all too many of the "Bruddah's" carry -- but illegally.

I'll second the Galco rec. (Ok third or fourth...good value, nice product)

I'll also pass on a second...I am a fan of Fobus paddle holsters, especially for general range and production class IPSC and IDPA stuff. They are inexpensive, durable, give a nice positive grip on the gun and are foolproof on the draw.

Not as classy, but every bit (if not more) practical then leathers.

Another choice would be Don Hume. I really like his stuff, great quality, and it's really comfortable to wear/carry.
