One of the most amazing photos is near the very end where the author is shown sitting astride a J-79 engine from an F-4. Amazingly, after more than 40 years, the engine still looks polished & shiny. Seems impossible in that environment.
 
Very Good Photos. I also Imagine that a lot of the stuff is not safe to handle, either from unexploded ordinals or what they were made of.
 
First, ordinals don't explode. Second, I don't think that word means what you think it means. /grammar joke

And ordinances don't explode either, they just annoy. Can't tell you how many times I have seen that, even in news publications.
