High Year Tenure question

Anyone know how aviation bonuses affect those with prior enlisted time? Someone was saying that if you have over a certain number of years time-in-service you don’t rate the full aviation bonus. Is there any truth to that? For example I have 7 years enlisted and for 4 years commissioned; after my eight year commitment for aviation I will have 19 years, since I am so close to retirement will they offer me the bonus?

They don't add it, they subtract it - you start over.

Well, no, for what I was talking about I do mean adding: 13 yrs enlisted + 30 yrs commissioned = 43 yrs Naval career. I used to think it was this way: 30 yrs max tenure - 13 yrs already served = 17 years commissioned timemax.. Semantics. We're saying the same thing different ways.
