Help With My Research Paper, Please!

Shakey

I'm talkin, G-5...!

In one of my other threads I asked for help about choosing a research topic for a research paper that I have to write for my English 102 class. I ended up choosing to explore different aspects of the JSF F-35. Particularly, the advancements in technology and avionics utilized in the F-35. To accumulate research on this subject, I have to conduct interviews with people who know about my topic. What better people to ask than aviators in the naval aviation community? Please help me out by answering some of my questions, addressing new ones, and providing any other information that would help me out.

I know some of these questions can be answered through book research, but I want your personal opinions.

1. How does the technology utilized in the F-35 set it apart from other planes?
Can you go over some differences between the F-35 and other planes its replacing or working with?
2. How do you feel that this plane would benefit the US military?
3. How do you feel about the F-35 being available to other nations?
4. What do you think were some alternative options to a JSF program?
5. In your opinion, what is the most innovative part of the F-35?
6. How would you feel about flying the F-35?

I would also really appreciate any more opinions you would like to express. I need as much info as I can get.

One word: Wikipedia. There, all your problems are solved. :D

Have you submitted or are you even required to submit a proposal to your prof? Your topic seems a little broad "The advancements in technology and avionics utilized in the F-35". What is the paper length requirement?

This paper is gonna suck (impossible to write well). I hope you don't have to cite anything because you are going to have crap for sources and barely any thesis.

Maybe a professor at your school is a rocket scientist or aviation engineer. Those guys are usually pretty nice and pleased to chat about their work. There might even be one in the gym.

You will have to sharpen up your thesis after some preliminary research.

Speaking of the F-35, here's a nice image of the F-35 with its namesake, the P-38 Lightning

Then there is it's British namesake. The English Electric Lightning. Mach 2, Supercruise and 50K fpm rate of climb in the 1950's!
