So THAT'S how the Hind snuck up on the kids in Red Dawn and killed them. Tricky bastards.
 
I love some of the theories that these 13 year old kids have about how it happened. 100 people say frame rates, while one kid calls them stupid and says it's thrust vectoring with stationary rotors as a backup in case it fails. Cool video though.
 
This is a REALLY old video and I think probably posted before, but it's still cool as hell to watch.

It's true. The Russian space program has decided to do away with this whole "rocket thrust to achieve escape velocity" business. They're just going to release the straps holding down a bunch of Havocs and Ka-50s. Like balloons floating away from a kid at the carnival.
