Hey Sirenia,

The last picture of the soldier holding the baby is from the car bomb yesterday I believe. There were 2 children killed and this soldier held this one until he/she passed. That's what I got from one of the news channels. It is so moving and I can't imagine the pain. That's such a moving picture. I wish I could be there to hug that soldier. I can't imiagine what some of these guys are coming back with in their heads.
God bless our troops over there and I sure wish the tv shows would show more of these pics and not just Fox News. They would, but the more liberal ones.

This is why on my OIC cruise, my guys/gals were not allowed to *****. Though difficult, their job could be much more difficult such as those soldiers in Iraq. They are doing one hell of a job and deserve the utmost respect. This is why on another site (a car site but on the political forum) I tore into an army officer who on this public site put down any soldier in Iraq who supported the current President. He no longer became a soldier in my book and deserved every insult I hurled his way.

Thanks gagirl and nittany03. How terrorists can condone the killing of innocents, especially children who are their own people is simply beyond my understanding. But then again so is everything they do.

We were (are) prepared to do it every day with our nuclear weapons...

Not making a comparison, and they're two different forms of warfare, but it's not like we've never deliberately targeted innocent civilians.

Your right though, attacking their own people... pretty harsh. But, it's nothing new. The Vietnamese did similar things.

It is the method they choose to reach their ultimate goal, which is entirely antithetical to their supposed purpose, that is of concern to me. But I agree with you--it is nothing new and will happen again.

Right, I agree. Just wanted to point out that out of context, everyone has killed civilians on purpose at one point or another.

What, you actually think the liberal media would want people to believe that there are good things going on over in Iraq?? That wouldn't sell papers and commercials, now would it. Freekin rediculous... I can't stand the media.
The only place I have ever seen reports about good things going on over in Iraq is on Day Side with Linda Vester on Fox. Really a shame you don't see more of it. Kudos for her though for giving it the publicity that she does.
