H-34/S-55T for Sale

If anyone is interested in an H-34/S-55T used recently for lifting cell tower tops, pm me and I'll get you in touch with the seller.

I have no idea what the asking price is. The previous owner passed away last year, and his wife is selling them. He used to bring them to TPS as part of our qualitative evaluation program. Good times.

They were used by Pirate Airlift Construction in Georgia.

A top contender for my favorite helicopter. They are probably “affordable” to purchase, but I wonder what the repair parts situation is like. Here’s another option for those looking for something amphibious.

Or something along the attack line…

I’d love to own one but the expense of keeping it airworthy would bankrupt me. If only I’d bet on oil futures just a few days ago.

@IKE does TPS teach vertical reference long line ?
No, we don't teach it as part of the curriculum. But when we had Pirate's S-55 up here for qualitative evals, long-line work was part of the one-hour QE for the students. It was one of the strangest things I've done in a helo... Tighten lap straps, remove shoulder straps, lean out of helicopter and stare at slung load. Very fun.
