I went to the gun show in hopes of finding a military service rifle with no luck.......but I came back with this and some beef jerky. I hope to use it as a bell ringer for my in home bar one day. Can any one of you salty types tell me what A/C its from?

I have been to 3 gun shows in the past 2 months with very limited success. Everything is overpriced, but the gun panic has first time buyers still making purchases because they don't even know what a good price is.

One of the stores that I frequent had a table and they had marked up every item %15 over their in store price, and they were still selling.

You can still find beef jerky and other junk though.

gunbroker.com is your homeboy

Well, not as much as it used to be, but still generally the best deals I have found next to private sellers and black Friday Academy specials

I don't even bother going anymore. I used to be able to get good deals (relative to the market prices at the time), but now the items are no cheaper than what you'd pay in a gun shop. Why bother?

There are still good deals to be had at the gun show, albeit fewer and farther between. Granted, Bevo nailed it right on the head while talking about first time buyers just trying to snatch stuff up, but let's face it: We're all at least a little bit guilty of it lately, myself included. Even though you can find a reasonable deal on occasion, the real bitch of it today seems to be finding ammo. Even the online suppliers that I frequent are hurting.

I still go to guns shows but I rarely buy a gun or ammo there. Most of the time when I go it's to fondle something I'm thinking about buying. If I like what I see I buy it on line.

What the hell did they tell you that thing was? Do you normally go to gun shows and pick up random shit? Does it go to a firearm? It looks like something a rope would go across to change direction (think pulleys on a sailboat).

If you're into buying weird shit, I've got something for you to buy... It's 6'2", mildly retarded, but flies a plane reeeeeaaaalll guuuuuuud...
:p

I hit up a gun show in Jax today...

The selection on firearms was pretty descent. If you take into account the markups since last year, the prices werent that bad. The ammo choice was terrible, though. Guys were selled 50 rd boxes of WWB 9mm for $20, it was pathetic.

If your are in the San Diego and looking to buy bulk ammo, the gun show up at Del Mar was pretty good. One vendor pretty much took over the ammo sales and had some really good prices.

Where? I didn't realize there was a show this weekend.

The Morocco Shrine. Open tomorrow, too.

I was gonna go to refill the ammo cases, but now? Eh. . .might wait for the next one at the end of the month.

If you are looking for pistol caliber ammo....buy online. It isn't worth the entry fee to go there and pick up ammo. They had some wolf 9mm for $13/50....that was the best "deal" I saw in 9mm. There was plenty of surplus ammo for sale, though. Lot's of 7,62x54R, 8mm etc there.

We determined it wasn't a 45 nor A-6/EA-6 or E/C-2 hook point..

A4s were 1 peice and T-2 hook points were different. I was down to a 14 or 18 when I was guessing, although I am not familiar enough with A-7s to know if it was one of them.

Well, I'm on the hunt for a 54H60-77 if anyone knows where I can find one. Props if you know what that is. (There's a hint in there).
