Growler mishap aboard IKE

EA-18 Growler ejection aboard IKE yesterday. Aviators were safely recovered but four sailors on the flight deck were injured. One MEDIVAC to Norfolk. Story.

Seems eerily similar to the incident that happened in 2002 on the TR in the Gulf.

Sad news. I can’t even begin to imagine being on a flight deck when an arresting cable snaps.
