correct tali, OCS was quite a while back, oh such fond memories though

So you're jets, huh? Cool. Got any tips for the rest of us as far as study habits and the like that could help us out (I, too, like most here want jets)? Did you pre-study before leaving, or were you just really diligent at API and primary?

I really didnt do much. no prior flight time either so everything was new to me. didnt have that program that you got cessna time or whatever prior to API either, that was before my time. I just dedicated myself to the program once I got in, especially primary. I made it a point to study about five or six flights ahead. tell me where you are right now and I can probably answer your questions more in depth. or if you have any questions about anything ill help you out as best I can

I'm in BDCP for the summer just waiting to go to OCS on August 2, 2003. I know I'm ahead of myself...but I don't want to waste this summer. I mean, I'm basically going to learn the OCS stuff and whip my butt into shape, but I'm always interested in advice from someone who's successfully done what I want to do.

great deal. I was BDCP as well, good way to go. I was really happy with that program. youre not getting too far ahead of yourself, it goes by quick. however, OCS is going to command your full attention and certainly require a great deal of dedication, I thought it was a blast though. so that is going to be priority number one.......getting your commission. after that, worry about API and flight school. in my experience(which isnt much compared to some of the old salts around this site) is that flight school is geared towards those with little or no aviation experience and the instructors who you will fly with are some of the best in the world. Ive never flown with one who didnt know their stuff inside and out. but if you ever want to know about flight school, and what to expect drop me an email, I think my its in my profile. where did/do you go to school.

I just graduated from the University of Indianapolis (Indiana) with a BS in Physics and a Math minor. I'm pretty stoked, although I do get asked 'what are you going to do with a physics degree' an awful lot. I figure...what can't I do =) Others ask 'what's physics about' and I just think to myself...um, everything...most people don't know that the laws of physics are everywhere. Seriously though, I just decided that I might as well do something challenging because I don't figure anything else I want to do will be easy. What about you...what's your degree in?

I have a degree in political science......I dont really use it much as you may guess.

Seriously? I've heard some things about poly sci opportunities but I have no idea they're true or not. It would be nice though.
