... country bumpkin losers.

The same people that built those airplanes, no?

Good distance makes good neighbors. The impression that the middle is full of "country bumpkin losers" is one we enjoy cultivating. It keeps the elitist assholes to a minimum. Except for Austin- they're just screwed there now.

My dude you’re missing the point entirely. Tacit implication of the use of military force at the strategic level has a massive effect on the geopolitical environment.

Even if that wasn’t the point that I and others are making… a brigade of 1,500 is well above the requirement to maintain security for 55-60k Greenlanders. You need only to point to Cheeto Jesus - who’s been president for 5 of the last 9 years to blame for any readiness or force generation concerns. Biden didn’t cut the DOD budget, either.

…and I was a republican before this clown show administration started destroying 70 years of American political capital. Not an ideologue at all.

Well I believe many live in St Charles, which isn’t exactly the sticks, but true. My favorite place is Hazelwood, MO for obvious reasons

Many maps don’t even show Wichita, despite showing similar-sized cities elsewhere. You can drive North from OKC on I-35 and barely even know you were here, due to some creative landscaping.

It’s sometimes seems like there’s a wonderful conspiracy to keep us undiscovered. I should probably stop talking now. ;)

LN-66, APS-124, APS-137, APS-115 . . .

There's three numbers that have never left my brain when other limits/stats have faded: when the engine oil pressure light comes on (because of an idiot O-4 doing my NATOPS check as a JO), the operating frequency of the APS-124, and the 1.23 * sqrt height equation.

I, for some reason, still remember EGT limits for the P-3C APU... but I'll forget someone's name 3.5 seconds after I meet them.

Don't forget 1.06 and 1.82 as well
:)

Yay for 1.06 as an old SAR guy, but 1.82 (or 1.85) is probably garbage, if it's referring to ESM. We deleted it from NAWDC's mind on the HSM/HSC side 7 years ago. RF horizon is geometric limit, it doesn't matter if you're active or passive, one-way or round-trip. RF horizon is the same for a given frequency and path/environment.

This was a LAMPS MK-I/III discussion. I'm not sure your geekness was invited to the conversation . . . . . :D
