Stephen Miller, a top aide to President Trump, asserted on Monday that Greenland rightfully belonged to the United States and that the Trump administration could seize the semiautonomous Danish territory if it wanted.

“We live in a world, in the real world, Jake, that is governed by strength, that is governed by force, that is governed by power,” he (Stephen Miller) said. “These are the iron laws of the world since the beginning of time.”

Many people laugh at the idea, but America invading Greenland and annexing it has been a HUGE concern for them since Turmp took office. I in Nuuk this summer when the Danish government shut down international departures for a couple days in response to the US cancelling a windmill project off the coast of New England. There was a vibe shift overnight and it went from welcoming and curiosity about the new American visitors to the Inuit trying to mow us down in with their cars while we were crossing the street.

Turns out the day they closed down Greenland international departures the Danes released a piece in the local media that they found three American covert operatives running an influence operation to get Greenland to separate from Denmark. The locals were not impressed. The free booze from the CI guy trying to get us to break cover was nice though.

They were in quite a tizzy this summer, I can only imagine how they’re freaking out with those comments immediately after the US went into Venezuela.

It seems to me that this administration is determined to do what feels good in the moment and makes them look “strong” to the sort of simpering moron that gets invited to dinner at Mar-A-Lago.

They just deposed a foreign communist leader and effectively shot the democratic opposition in the foot by not supporting them over Maduro’s VP, Delcy Rodriguez, who Trump issued sanctions against during his first term.

I sure can’t piece together a cohesive strategy in all of this. I’m with @Brett327, I bet Maduro gets tried and acquitted.

I think someone is extremely desperate for their own Bin Laden moment, add to that a complex to prove that AMERICA IS ROCK HARD AGAIN.
