I don't what actually happened, but if I were a cop called to this scene, finding a stabbed Marine and a few other Marines on top of the assailant, I'm pretty sure I'd be able to find a curb on which to blame the assailant's injuries in the official report.

My department just recognized Cpl. Duggan for his actions. His fellow Marines must all go by the nickname of " curb " as they certainly backed up their man when he needed it.

I don't remember the injuries being that severe, but I wasn't there so I could be wrong. The incident was last year during the Christmas season, the Marines were there participating in a Toys for Tots drive.

I spoke with him after our Law Day ceremony, he seems like a great guy.
