As far as the guy with the TC, I saw something similar several years ago here at Quail Creek. Just two of us on the line, me working up some loads for my 7-08 and another guy with some hand-cannon TC. Since I'm a TC fan I was thinking about going down to see what he was shooting. Next time he shot, I looked over to see him walking back about five feet to pick up his TC. I decided against engaging him in any conversation.

My wife gave me a .500 S&W for my birthday a couple of years ago. When I shot it the first time, I expected more of a whack, and have to admit that the masochist in me was disappointed when my wrist didn't snap. I guess all those years of looking at porn, thanks again to the NSAWC Hawkeye guys, I had built my forearm muscles up to the point where the recoil was manageable. Not so bad as some of my hot .44 loads.
