Hey all, I’ve been lurking on this site for about 2 years and only have 10 posts.
I found out that I was "Professionally Selected" on 3/20 as a 5105 (CEC). Yesterday I spent the day down at MEPS doing the physical thing.
Now the recruiter is securing a billet for me at an NMCB and then I go to "Final Select."
He guesstemates that I should be getting my Comm Docs in about 3 weeks. I haven’t seen ANYTHING only take 3 weeks.
This has been a very long road. I am just glad that the light at the end of the tunnel wasn’t a train.
Some background info:
I have 15 years in (5 Active; 10 Reserve),
I was an undesignated airman when I started, but some how (it’s a long story) ended up making my rate Equipment Operator with the Seabees.
I have 3 cruises and an Iraq deployment.
In civilian life I am an electrical engineer at a nuclear power plant.
Good Luck to everyone.
