well when the yankees bring in 47-50,000 fans for almost every game they can afford to throw that kind of money around... if every other club had that kind of draw then they'd all be buying every player up in the market. if ur angry because we sell out yankee stadium, and legitimately generate the revenues to purchase good players rather than pocket it, then thats a pretty sad reason to hate the team. IMO you're whats wrong with baseball, not the yankees.
 
Zug, stupid questions do not warrant a response. Go check your facts, get them straightened out, repost, and maybe then someone will respond.
 
Even I'll admit they're spending a bit too much. And I don't understand Steinbrenner's infatuation with that overbloated toad Wells.
