GI Bill enrollment

I was wondering what anyone could tell me about enrollment in the GI bill. I was commissioned last May and decided to look at some of the benefits from the GI Bill, and found out that officers are not automatially enrolled. I don't remember signing a specific form to enroll, though I may have and not remembered it, but I do know that my LES does NOT show 100$ a month being deducted. Is there any way to tell if I am enrolled, and if I am not, can I still enroll or is it too late?
Thanks.

The folks at PSD will be able to help you out on that one.

You're definitely not enrolled. It would show up as MGIB in either the deductions or allotment section.

If I'm not mistaken, I don't think you can enroll after being comissioned, all the officers I know that got it were OCS guys, because taking advantage of the technicality of being enlisted while at OCS we enrolled the first week.

Any (non-prior) ROTC or USNA guys who have the GI Bill care to chime in?

There better not be, or I'm writing my congressman (we're not eligable).

I am going to be commissioned via ROTC and was told that we cannot receive the GI Bill. If you reveive over X dollars (think it was $3500) a year in educational benefits (such as an NROTC Scholarship) then you cannot sign up for it.

That's what I thought, thanks for confirming.

One caveat to that I forgot about. A buddy of mine went through NROTC as a college program guy, so he actually has the GI Bill since he didn't take any tuition benefits (only stipend).
