Geo-bachelor question

Various threads seem outdated or confusing and googling hasn't brought much clarity...

If the wife lives in San Fran (has a good steady job there) and servicemembers's PDS is Lemoore NAS, which BAH does the servicemember collect?

It looks like the most up-to-date answer is Lemoore BAH. And the servicemember is required to live in base housing (if available)?

Thoughts/answers/experience?

I was geo-baching in P-Cola for awhile back in '92 and I drew P-Cola BAH, which really hurt because my wife and son were in Norfolk paying the rent and P-Cola BAH was considerably less than Norfolk.

In the strictest sense of the word, Geo-bachelor is when the government allows you to live in government quarters and collect BAH since they are most likely the reason you are separated from your spouse. Choosing to move unaccompanied does not make you a geo-bachelor. Therefore, you would collect the same BAH w/dependents that anyone stationed at Lemorre would collect.
