really nice piece of gear. tracks heartbeat, speed/distance, elevation, etc.
you can replay your run on a map or sat type format.
anyway, i took it up in a glider the other day to see how it would play.

not bad but doesn't process altitude too well.

(westhampton beach airport, eastern long island) used the grass next to rwy 33.

the old grumman calverton airfield is to the northwest. kurt schroeder and i took the last tomcat up on its first flight there in '92. kurt would be just about 75 now. i'm 65. (wtf happened?)

the large circle to the southwest of calverton is the particle beam accelerator at the brookhaven national lab.

I haven't looked into Heart Rate technology in a while but have they gotten any further in making a watch that takes readings off your wrist? Looks like we still have the chest strap with the model you use.
