Hello All,

I just wanted to start this up for those of us reapplying for next year and those of you applying for the first time. Good Luck to all of you.

It is starting early.

So when do you think the FY10 results will be released? I don't think today is looking good for them.
 
First off if you didn't make it, try and try again. Second who posted that STA-21 FY09 Hot Wash Fleet Brief? I have a few guys that I know that are applying next year and that would very much benefit from that brief. Thanks for all of the help in advance and good luck to all you guys that are putting in for it next year and congrats to the ones that made it this year. I made NFO AT3 David Corbin.

Sorry all for being gone and not getting all of the messages first off. I was on vacation after I saw the results and came back to this...all I can say is why I can see why NPC doesn't answer phones during this time ROFL. I apologize for not posting that Hot Wash again. Congrats to all and good luck to those applying for FY10.


Oh yeah, has anyone called NPC lately to see when those results are coming out yet? :D

I am going to apply this year, Im new to the navy and im having trouble with my ccc. She isnt familiar with the program and these are some of the questions i have.
Where can i take the astb?
Does anyone have any sample CO reccomendation letters or Sample personal statements?
Im sure ill have alot more questions but this forum has been alot of help so far.

Lastly, if you were referring to letter format visit the STA-21 website, and follow the 1420 instruction.

Ok, since you are new I'll give you some slack. However, next time you have questions see if you can logically figure it out yourself.

For instance, the astb. Ask yourself, who normally takes these tests, oh people who want to be officers. How does one become an officer? They talk to officer recruiters. Now, the math is simple, take one plus one and make it two. Talk to an officer recruiter. Next, you should be able to quote from the 1420.1a (ch. 8?). Read it, read it again, and when you have a question, go back to it. If you don't figure out the answer then look for the logical answer. If that doesn't work, come here and use the search function. If that doesn't work, then ask the question. While the ccc is a tool to use in assisting with your application, they can not, and should not imo, be the ones driving this. It's your application, the amount of effort you put into it will be reflected by the end product.
 
You can also take the ASTB at any ROTC unit, most have computer based tests so you have your results instantly
