This is just a random question I came up with today while I was pondering on what life will be like after I'm commissioned and out of flight school. Between work ups and deployments what are the relationships and friendships like between pilots throughout the squadron and even pilots and there nfo's? I'm assuming all pilots and nfo's dont have that mavrick and goose type of relationship I've seen made fun of on here, not that I think its wrong or anything. BBQ's and hangouts on weekends or what? Any stories or past experience from others in the fleet would be nice. My random thought of the day I guess.

Well Navy pilots and NFOs have normal friendships - BBQs, bar hopping, hanging out, etc.

Marines, on the other hand, are more into relationships where the pilots and NFOs have gay monkey sex with each other......

HAL Pilot is right you know. A Marine's favorite excuse is "me? fvcking this sheep? Oh no, I'm just helping it along."
