I know right when you get to Navy OCS, the first thing they teach you is how to eat properly in the Navy. Do they do the same thing in the Coast Guard OCS?

What they teach you the first few days is not formal dining. It is discipline. Eating like that at a formal dining in or out is most likely due to gravely offending Mr. Vice. The Coast guard also teaches candidates to eat square, as do any other commissioning source.

What does it consist of? I saw this video of students at West Point and they have to hold the right posture and chew a certain amount of times and then swallow. Pretty darn specific. How is it done at OCS?

oh yes, through lots of yelling you will most certianly learn :)

and what they teach is much closer to a shark feeding frenzy then a formal dining experience
