Helos usually do vice NFL.

I realize the vid is a repost from yesteryear, but for the newer crowd it might be something new.

Great post! That camera angle of the BUFF flying over Arrowhead was awesome! There was a really good F-18 flyover two weeks ago when I went to the packer game. Was it anyone on here? They were from VFA-34.

It wasn't me, but I had the awesome experience of leading a flyover at Soldier's Field. It was by far one of the greatest experiences I have been involved with since getting my wings. The thrill of making it perfectly on time when the anthem is just about to end is something else. And not to mention the Bears took great care of us. We had beers in our hands from the fans the entire day, and they brought us down to the field during the second half and introduced us to the fans during a tv timeout. Nothing like 60,000 people giving you a standing ovation for what you love to do!!! Serve our country.

Highly recommend doing one if you have the chance during your career.

Here's a picture of the flyover.....

We had a marine FAC help us out with the timing. Worked out great!

The Blue Blasters did one of the best flyovers that I've ever seen at the Swamp when Florida played South Carolina on Veteran's Day weekend 2006. Here's a video clip of it.

The Air Force had an F-15E and a couple of F-16s do the flyover at the UF vs. FSU game this year that was really good, too. They used the SNIPER pod on the F-15 to show the stadium from the air on the jumbotron. I thought that was pretty cool.

One of the best times I've had was the fly over at the Coca-Cola 600. We actually got to fly around the track (as in, around the oval) as a section with two Cobras in trail as a simunition went off under us. When we got done, we were driven to the race and got all-access everything, plus free beer, and even got into the winner's circle at the end. I don't even like NASCAR but it was a great experience.

How can you not like NASCAR after going to a race?!?

I've done 3 of these fly-bys, and each time the guys that went with me became fans. Their wives still hate me, but that was probably inevitable anyway.

At Martinsville, Jack Rousch got all of us into the winners circle and talked to us for quite awhile. Outsanding person. Owns his own P-51 in addition to other planes.

Only 50 days and a wake up until Daytona!!!

God, I love speed week.
