Point is we don’t know who and why they are being laid off. If they are ‘framers, they may not have material to do the airframe. Army might have cut the check for material late. The QA guys at the factory might have been fired for poor inspections. It could also be temporary. A 3% cut is also not outrageous in a reorg.Not when the layoffs are in the airframe manufacturing facility they literally just built.
Army aviation is a shitshow right now, not to mention the rest of the Army.
I have seen the same in our private shipyards during a retooling.
And this is by no means a judgement on who is paying the bill (Army).
